How to Administer Churnas
A general guide to take churnas
If there are any specific instructions for the churna, please follow the instruction.
The below guide is general for all churna or powder medicines.
Dosage:
Start with 1 gm once a day,
After 3 – 4 days go to 1 gm x 2 times a day
by 1 week – slowly increasing to 3 gm twice a day,
Reach the prescribed dosage or as per your doctor in 7-10 days
Adding Water – Procedure to take:
Mix the required quantity in 100 ml water and swallow it.
Using warm water will help in better absorption.
What to add?
For making the churna more palatable,
you can add salt, jaggery, honey or sugar
or any other sweetener to it as per your taste.
What to take it with?
If not mentioned in the relevant web page of the churna,
it must be consumed with warm water only.
Never use with cold water
When to take the churna?
Unless mentioned specifically,
do not take any churna on empty stomach.
Make sure there is a gap of half to 1 hour after before and food.
