Leucoderma is described in Ayurveda as Sweta Kushta and Switra.
Leucoderma is a broad term used to describe any depigmentation disorder.
This is a chronic or long-lasting non-contagious skin condition in which there is a loss of pigment-producing cells (melanocytes), resulting in pale patches on the skin. There is no oozing or pus formation. It is similar to vitiligo.

Signs:
Localised or generalised white patches, streaks or spots on the skin.
The appearance and distribution may vary depending on the underlying cause.
The patches are always white in colour and spread from the nucleus of the origin cut or the scar.
This condition may or may not be progressive. This depends on whether the underlying cause is progressive or not.
Causes:
Chemical exposure, Burns, Trauma, certain skin infections, Severe stress and some congenital abnormalities like – Tuberous sclerosis, Partial albinism, Piebaldism, and Waardenburg syndrome.
Supplements:
Helps in stopping the progression and gradually reversing the patches. Has immunomodulatory function.
Reduces all symptoms and helps in the formation of new pigment cells.
Induces normal pigmentation in the skin.
